Wed May 5, 2021 Comment By : Surat Municipal Corporation

The Government of India had started the Vaccination drive in the entire country during the early part of this year. After assessing & recognizing the lethality levels of COVID contamination, our respected government had decided to dispense the vaccine doses according to the age group of the citizens. The Vaccination drives for senior citizens (above the age of 60 years) & adults above the age of 45 were successfully completed in two consecutive parts under the "Tika Utsav" (Vaccination festival) - a ground-breaking initiative by the Government of India to counter the second wave of COVID. Thanks to the rapid response of our medical team, researchers & on-ground staff, COVID vaccine will be provided to all the citizens above the age of 18 now. Thanks to the mighty efforts of our COVID warriors, young citizens of India will receive the much-needed protection against the rising second wave of COVID, in form of a vaccine. Surat Municipal Corporation's Commissioner Shri Banchhanidhi Pani has insisted the youth of Surat on multiple occasions to register & get the COVID vaccine by registering with their name & other details by visiting http://www.cowin.gov.in. Before getting your first immunisation shot, it's advised to consult your physician for any ongoing medication & health condition that could affect your vaccination process. It's time that we all join our hands together to defeat the second wave of COVID. Our mission #CovidFreeSurat.
